A little update

Just a little update!
I have finished parts 2 and 3 of Jardin Prive's SAL
I am really loving this beautiful design!
I am stitching all the letters in the same pretty green as the leaves on the plants.

I framed my Prairie Schooler Chicken :)

I added more stripes to my crochet blanket... This is queen size, so you see why it is taking forever to make!

I have been sewing pinwheel squares out of my Violetta RJR fabric. I have been wanting to do this for quite some time! This fabric line is no longer available. It is oh so pretty in purples and greens!!❤️

Cannot wait to put them all together for a quilt top!

It snowed here in our part of town. Only about two inches, and it didn't last very long .... But it was very pretty!

I left a note on the front steps for our Military Son and snapped a photo...

Not enough snow for a snowman, so I made a snow angel!

Another angel... But this one held the snow in her arms!

Although it was soooo cold outside, we kept warm inside with cocoa and a hot meal of a roast in the crockpot!

I think everyone is ready for Spring to come along now. This has been a very long cold winter!
I may have to be traveling back to the doctor again, which I so do not want to do. I am having terrible hand and foot pain. Not quite sure what could be wrong. It worries me. The pain gets so bad I cannot even stitch. My hands ache!! I am thinking arthritis?
I am praying it's nothing serious.
I couldn't imagine giving up all I love :(

Pink and White

I just completed another baby blanket.
This is a granny stripe blanket with a simple edging.
I enjoyed doing this very much, it worked up pretty fast.

It's Saturday!

I just love Saturdays!
Here it is almost 11:30am..the kids are still asleep.
I have been busy looking through some boxes..
I don't think we will ever be fully unpacked. Very loooooong process!
What to keep, what to give away..such hard decisions!

Hubby has been in the attic and on the roof all morning putting in an attic fan.
It is plenty hot up there with the Florida sun. I sure do hope he finishes soon.I don't like him out in this heat so much.
He is such a wonderful handyman, and can do pretty much anything, so it did not worry me one bit when he cut that round hole in our new roof!

I have been busy working a little more on my granny stripe. Have not lost interest yet! Love all the vibrant colors :)
It is so much fun to do and goes so very quickly.
Lots of fun for sure.

Will update with pictures as I go along..

Hope you all have a lovely weekend,

Stripes of Crochet

I cannot believe I have started yet another project.
Why is it so exciting to start something, but yet, not exciting enough to keep going on what I have already begun, and finish something else?
OH! The thrill of gathering up the supplies and items needed for a new venture I guess. :P

I have spotted this beautiful pattern for a Granny Stripe Crochet blanket pattern on my dear friend Hazel's blog.
She was crocheting the most beautiful blanket, and I was so intrigued!

I am so glad she posted the blog that she had found the directions on.
I wasn't sure if I could manage it, but I think I have figured out how to make it right.
So far so good.
I am not using any particular pattern of colors, just throwing it together.
I did a chain of 240 stitches to start.
I am using Impeccable Loops and Threads Yarn I found at Michaels Craft Store. It is on sale this week!
I purchased 9 colors..but may go back for more.

So far so good, and I think it is coming along nicely.
Pretty I think!
The pattern can be found on Attic24's Blog

Perhaps you would like to give it a go?
