Hello my friends!

Stopping in with a quick hello! Been so busy the past month. Hubby had surgery and is finally feeling better. So glad the continued pain is over for him. Took many months for a diagnosis , and with lots of worries we thank God it is all behind us now.
I have stitched an ornament ( trying to do one a month!) this is by Nikys creations
Just love this one! I found it in one of the just cross stitch ornament back issues.
Thinking on which ornament to stitch next.
We had plenty of snow here last week. Took some pretty photos:

Our back yard

Our wood pile

Love when it snows here, so beautiful!
I recently sewed this adorable crayon roll for  a special little guy. I found the directions on Pinterest. Love love Pinterest! It came out adorable!
If you would like to make one yourself, the directions can be found here

It was a beautiful day today. My bunny enjoyed being outside!

I love him to pieces!!❤️

Perfect solution for those terrible hot flashes at night... Found this ice bag at Aldi! I fill it up before bedtime and if I get too hot, I put this on my neck... Filled with ice it is wonderful, and I can get my sleep finally! Will be good for my migraine attacks too. Well worth the money.

Saint Patrick's day is coming soon... Cannot wait to make the corned beef, cabbage, and Irish soda bread. Yum!

Blessings to you and thanks so much for stopping by ❤️

SNOW and Stitching ❤️

Hello again, it's me!
Well an amazing amount of snow decided to plop down on us here in North Carolina. I had this vision in my mind even before the snow began falling. I was on a mission! I was thinking of maybe the perfect picture for our next years Christmas card! I know, I know... Planning a bit early!! Snow doesn't pass this part of town too often and I had to take advantage of this awesome opportunity!
So I gathered up my supplies and waited... And waited. Then it began. Oh boy did it begin! Snow like I remember when I used to live in New York as a child. Snow, snow, glorious SNOW!!
Big FAT FLAKES lightly falling down, beautiful splendor all around. I thought I was in heaven!
Have you ever just sat outside while it snowed and just listened? Listened to the peacefulness? Oh it's so wonderful!
I snapped many photos....
Our backyard....
The end of our street right next to our house..
Footprints from our nightly visitors...

The front of our home at night with the snow falling down..

The view from my bedroom window...
More snow pictures....

While it was so chilly outside I baked a chicken for dinner...

Then made homemade chicken soup too!

Now back to the mission I was on that I mentioned in the beginning of my blog post... I trekked out back into the snow by myself and made our family of four snowmen!! I made them patriotic Americana style in support of our United States Navy! There is my husband, who is a United States Navy Veteran Dad, Navy Mom, presently serving Sailor Son, and Raggedy Ann Daughter❤️!
I am thinking of using this for our Christmas card this year!❤️

This past Friday night I experienced something I never felt before. Yes it was Valentines Day but it was also the first time I experienced an earthquake!
I was sitting on the couch and felt it starting to shake! I thought I was imagining things... Then this came on the news!
Although it was in South Carolina, it was felt all the way up where I live in North Carolina! Glad it wasn't stronger than it was!
I finished part four and five of my Jardin Prive Positive Stitch A Long. I am very pleased with the outcome! I shall hang this in my sewing room. ❤️
Love it!!

I hope you all had a very nice Saint Valentines Day. I spent a little more time in the lovely snow before it melted... And I snapped some photos!

I also baked heart shaped butter cookies with red sugar crystals and dipped strawberries in chocolate! Yummie! ❤️

Looking forward to warmer weather soon and getting projects in order.
Blessings to you!

A little update

Just a little update!
I have finished parts 2 and 3 of Jardin Prive's SAL
I am really loving this beautiful design!
I am stitching all the letters in the same pretty green as the leaves on the plants.

I framed my Prairie Schooler Chicken :)

I added more stripes to my crochet blanket... This is queen size, so you see why it is taking forever to make!

I have been sewing pinwheel squares out of my Violetta RJR fabric. I have been wanting to do this for quite some time! This fabric line is no longer available. It is oh so pretty in purples and greens!!❤️

Cannot wait to put them all together for a quilt top!

It snowed here in our part of town. Only about two inches, and it didn't last very long .... But it was very pretty!

I left a note on the front steps for our Military Son and snapped a photo...

Not enough snow for a snowman, so I made a snow angel!

Another angel... But this one held the snow in her arms!

Although it was soooo cold outside, we kept warm inside with cocoa and a hot meal of a roast in the crockpot!

I think everyone is ready for Spring to come along now. This has been a very long cold winter!
I may have to be traveling back to the doctor again, which I so do not want to do. I am having terrible hand and foot pain. Not quite sure what could be wrong. It worries me. The pain gets so bad I cannot even stitch. My hands ache!! I am thinking arthritis?
I am praying it's nothing serious.
I couldn't imagine giving up all I love :(

Sew....What's New! Long Post with Pics! :)

Hi Everyone..
Been a while, thought I would pop in with some updates (for my wonderful friends and dedicated readers who have been wondering where I was)..
So much has been going on in my life, always staying busy :) I have changed the picture on the top of my blog again, this time it is a picture of me and one of my younger brothers with an old pickup truck in our backyard.
Sir Charleston Bunny is getting bigger by the day, a new updated photo so you can see just how cute he is!
We recently went to Charleston, SC to attend our Son's A School graduation in the Nuclear Program of the United States Navy. He is now a Petty Officer 3rd Class! We are so very proud of his achievements so far, it was so good to be with our son again!
Here is his new patch that is proudly worn on his sleeve of his dress blues..
A coin that I ordered from Northwest Territorial Mint, I had it engraved on the back for him with his name and date of Graduation..

It was a wonderful visit in SC, the weather was a little chilly, but my daughter and I still had fun on the swings in the local park near my Sailor's military base!
After visiting SC, we came home to find out that our Clematis had finally bloomed! I had planted it in a pot inside the house well before Christmas had arrived.. So pretty!
I have been cleaning up and organizing my sewing room. It is a nice loft above the garage. I am re-puposing the dollhouse my Grandfather had made me all those years ago..it is now a perfect place to store my fabric and some notions!
Some photos of my sewing room :)
Love spending time in here! :) Some pillows I have stitched and were finishing off...
I stitched and sewed a special wallhanging to put in our kitchen of our new home. I love the way this turned out...
I am helping a friend out by stitching a baby sampler for her daughter. She wasn't able to do it with being so busy, so I offered to help..this has been taking up most of my time right now. It is 12x12 inches in size and has lots of filling in of stitches. After I finish stitching it, I will do all the back stitching. It is called "Savannah Birth Record" and it is a kit by Dimensions. I have converted the floss to DMC and converted the Aida fabric to using 28 count Lugana instead. Getting there slowly but surely!

I have been baking some...bread and blueberry pie! YUM!
I had a wonderful get together at my new home. All my stitching friends, and other friends also! We had a Grand time! I decorated with a Valentines Day theme. It was so much fun! I made baked ziti, garlic bread sticks, and ceasar salad. For desserts I made chocolate dipped strawberries, chocolate chip cookies, and mini vanilla cupcakes with butter cream icing. My sweet friends brought along Krispie Kreme donuts, an Orange cake, rice pudding too..oh and peanut butter cookies with a Hershey kiss!
Left to Right, Linda S. , Suzanne, Linda K., Louise, Monica, Cylvia, Bonnie and Juanita in the striped blue top:

We all had a wonderful time! I love getting together with my stitching friends. They are so warm, loving and loads of fun to be with. Looking forward to our next get together! :)
As our get together was starting to wind down, it started to snow outside! Sooo exciting being as I LOVE snow! :) I ran outside to get a bunch of pictures..
I snapped a photo of a very pretty cardinal bird in the tree out front.
The snow was falling heavy and as everyone started to leave the get together, I went outside and snapped another photo of the front of my house. So pretty with snow!
I have received wonderful RAK's in the mail recently. A wonderful LHN Chart "Winter Snow" from my sweet friend Connie

My dear friend Jackie sews many beautiful things on her embroidery machine. What a wonderful surprise to receive this Raggedy Ann wall hanging, made on her machine! Isn't it adorable..it will go perfectly in my new sewing room upstairs :)
She also sent me an embroidered heart she made on her machine..and put it as a topper onto a heart shaped Valentine box. To my surprise she also included wonderful kits to stitch!

I am blessed beyond measure.
Wishing you all a beautiful day today, and I hope it is filled with all things that you love.
Thanks so much for stopping by, if you would like to leave a comment, that would make me smile :)
Raggedystitches,
