Prayer Shawl

Things have been so busy in our family.I have not had much time to spend on my blog. I have been doing a little bit of stitching, and some crocheting. I have been upset with a very close friend that has taken ill. I have been spending time in church praying for her during the week, and offering up help to the family if I am needed. I worry so much, I so want her to be ok.
I have sewn more comfort caps and I have just completed making my first Prayer Shawl for her. I will take it up to the church to have one of our priests bless it for her.
I am still keeping very busy with the committee at church, baking for funerals and helping out when needed there also.
This church has brought me so much comfort since moving here. I enjoy being a part of the congregation and the people that enjoy being a part of this parish as much as I do. It is so nice to chat with the women and do things together for the need of others.
There is so much the church offers, if you seek, you shall find :)

Here is the prayer shawl that I have made. I used a cream color (Pound) yarn, and I used a half double crochet stitch.
It came out pretty nice to my surprise! I had never done this stitch before, and I am self taught.
I hope when my friend puts this around her shoulders she can feel how much she is loved not just by me, but by the Lord, and that she will always be blessed. She is truly a special person indeed.
