My husband and I decided to stay in Saint Augustine and make a day of it.
We just loved the pipes and drums!
Even the horses were dressed up...their hooves were painted green!
We had a nice lunch, and walked around Saint George Street. We also made sure we stopped by the Cathedral Basilica. What a beautiful church this is, and so comforting as you enter. It is one of the most beautiful churches I have ever been in.
I snapped some photos while I was inside, so you too can see the incredible beauty!
Saint Patrick..
I lit candles by the statue of Saint Patrick, along with a prayer for both of our Father's..who are no longer with us.
We also stopped in some neat shops along the way...
You can always find lots of shell shops here in Florida!
I don't particularly care for seeing these..but they sell them....
I don't know who would want one of them decorating their home!! Yikes!
Till our next adventure....
Raggedystitches,
Thanks so much for that lovely comment Louise! I don't work and yet I struggle also to get round to commenting on people's blogs so please don't feel bad. You are so sweet. I have never been to St Pat's parade before and yet how close am I to Ireland?? Looks like a lot of fun. x
