This was stitched on tea stained fabric. I love Raggedy Ann, and couldn't pass up on this design. So Cute! :) Not sure what I will do with it yet, perhaps frame it, or make a pillow.
This is a small design from Told In A Garden. This is my newest completed cross stitch. Someone just pointed out that I had stitched two letter "i"'s in this piece. How come I didn't see that! lol I will have to do some frogging and fix that right away.
I guess it shows that I am only human, and we do make mistakes sometimes :)
I just got in from Goodwill. I could not believe what I found there as I was about to walk out! This beautiful dish set. It is the most gorgeous set I have ever seen...the design is so "ME"!! It is not a full complete set, but enough that I just had to purchase it. It was calling my name. :) I already put some of the dishes on a plate rack on my dining room wall..they look perfect in there! I am so excited with my find..... I just LOVE Goodwill sometimes! :)
I am so excited! I did it! It may not be perfect, but for a first I think it is pretty good. I am so happy with the results of the paper piecing I have learned. I want to make more designs! Here is my finished quilt square :)
My latest venture is paper piecing! I picked out 4 fat quarters with purple in them (I just LOVE the color purple!).. Nancy that I work with at the quilt shop taught me step by step how to paper piece. She is so very talented, and I was so honored to have her show me the ropes. I just love learning new techniques. I am not a quilter YET, but hope to be one day! I guess you can say I am a "piecer" :) Thanks for stopping by and seeing my new project! :)
I finished stitching and creating my Whitman's Tin Sewing Box! I am so pleased with the way it came out. :) I also made the scissor fob that goes with the tin. I love it so much, and just want to display it! I used cardboard, warm and natural batting, and also used a piece of light purple Wool for the needles to be placed. I used pinking shears to cut the Wool. I love the color purple, and really like the purple ribbon I used too. Now, onto another project! :)
I have been busy this week! I purchased a Clover Yo Yo maker and have learned the technique for making Yo Yo's! They are quite simple to make, a lot of fun, and very addicting. I can't stop making them :) Not sure what I will do with them as of yet..perhaps table runners, place mats, maybe even a yo yo quilt! I am almost done stitching my Whitman's Tin sampler box too..look for picture posts coming soon, it is coming out so cute! updates soon!
