Trying to go to sleep....
But it's not working! So instead I am laying here cuddled up under blankets in bed with my phone making a post. HA!!
Let's see...what's to say...besides counting sheep???
Here are my updates on Mary's Sampler
And something I started stitching for Thanksgiving...
It is a freebie I found on a blog, the Twist Family....
Can't post a link right now as I am typing in the dark...heee heee!
It is the sweetest design!
This is going to be a hard Thanksgiving with missing our Son. First Thanksgiving without him being home. Military duties will keep him away. We are very proud if him. Hope he can be home for Christmas.
Now I really need to try and get some sleep..
Wish me luck!
More to come!

Lots and Lots!
Here is my "Dashing" by Birds of a Feather, slowly coming along! Stitching this on 28 count mushroom even weave lugana.
Here is where I am so far on this one....also stitching this on 28 count lugana even weave ...
Here is my newest stitching spot in our living room...
We received a very loud knock at our door one evening.....
What a surprise!!!! It was our military Son (aka big Brother) I screamed!! I was so happy and excited to see his handsome face. I have missed him so much. It had been almost a year since he has been home. He was able to be home for a full week..much to our delight!
We carved the pumpkin...and roasted the seeds...
Oh how I didn't want to let him go back to the Navy but I knew he had to go. We all loved having him home again and having our family as one ....in the same place at the same time! I don't think a million kisses and hugs was enough now that I think about it...I want to give him a million more!
I didn't cry as he quickly left for fear of upsetting him, but I think I know why he so quickly left. As his car drove away, well that's when I broke down and cried! I love my children so very much!
We live in the country and only about six trick or treaters came by! Ugh!!! That means all that leftover candy......
The leaves of the season are just beautiful this time of year in North Carolina! Here are some pictures I took when I was out and about the other day..
This is by the front of our house:
We are not sure we will be able to be together as a family for Thanksgiving. I am grateful for the time we had together recently and am thankful for that. It certainly is hard on military families, especially during the holiday season times. Our heros sacrifice so much. We need to be reminded that while most of us are together enjoying each other's company, there are others that are not. They are doing this because they want to, for all of our freedoms and to protect us. When you say grace this Thanksgiving please remember all our soldiers who cannot be with their families this year. Also, the families...It's very difficult because we love and miss them so much! We all miss them.
Blessings to you!
Thank you for stopping by my spot on the web,
Louise
