Our Front Porch

I just have to share a couple of pictures of our front porch flower box planters and hanging baskets!
I am so proud of myself, they really turned out beautiful this year!
The hanging planters are petunias that were on clearance at Lowes home improvement for just $1!! Yes and only one plant per hanging pot! Look how they grew!
In the rail box planters, I planted inpatients, vinca vines, and morning glory seeds. Oh! And some other flower plant seeds ... I see some tall plants in there from the flower seeds but no flowers yet. Don't remember what flower seeds I had planted?
No morning glory flowers as of yet... But look at those green leaves of the morning glory plants lining the rail boxes! So pretty and full!
They drink a full pitcher of water daily too!
I am so excited with how beautiful our porch looks this year, I am jumping for joy! :)

I'm spending time with Charlotte this morning!

She had a nice breakfast and is all set for the day. I think I shall be working on some stitching myself. :)

I have joined a RR with friends. We are doing A Friendship Sampler by Carriage House Samplings. So much fun!
We each stitch a heart with our name and pass it on to the next person. I cannot wait to receive mine back in the end. I just love hearts!

So I shall be stitching on my heart today on the next persons sampler!

Thanks for stopping by!
Wishing you a blessed day,
Louise xx

Good Thursday Friends!

Hello everyone!
I hope this post finds you all doing well.
I have been quite busy crocheting with my church group and have completed my first donation lap blanket for a veteran.

I am pleased with the way it turned out! I did granny squares as you can see, and joined them together.
I have started another one, this one being double crochet stitches in rows. This one is working up very quickly!

It is so much fun being a part of this wonderful group and I just love all the wonderful ladies I am meeting. I am also learning so much each time I attend the meetings. It is so nice to be in a group with women who share a same faith as I do. We enjoy each other company, pray together, and have a lot of laughs too!
I stitched a bit more on our anniversary sampler piece...
Here is the beginnings of "Louise"! I just love her cute little bun on top of her head :)

My flower boxes in front of our house are really growing! As you can see by the pictures, the morning glory plants are taking over. I never do see flowers? Not sure why?

Not sure if I previously posted about this sweet ladybug we found in our yard? She has a heart shaped spot! So sweet! ❤️

Another pretty ladybug I found.....

We also came across a turtle! I just love turtles! This one is a female. You know it's a female by her brown eyes. The males have bright red eyes. She is so sweet! I have always loved turtles. I gave her some chopped apple and she ate it right up! I named her Charlotte. We introduced her to Andy our bird. They seemed to hit it off!

See the picture below?!! Looks like pepper doesn't it? Well, guess what it is? Tadpoles in our pond! Hundreds of them!!

We have lots and lots of froggies!!!
I just love where we live!
I did some fundraising baking for our crochet group at church. This helped to raise money for fabric. The money will be used for quilts we are making for those in need. I made my chocolate chip cookies and wrapped them up pretty :)

Two of my sweet dolls in my collection. I love them!❤️

A thought for today.... At times you might feel discouraged, having tried so hard or working towards something, or hoping for so long. You have a dream or a picture in your mind but you just cannot seem to reach it. You don't think it is meant for you, and it will never happen despite your goals or hard work.
I leave you with this one last picture in which has such a powerful saying.
God Bless you!
Louise xx
