Crochet Ornaments

I have been teaching myself how to crochet ornaments. I found patterns on Etsy. They are pretty easy to make, and they work up fast too. Great little gifts. I am trying not to crochet too much as carpel tunnel issues bother me. I am trying to avoid more hand surgeries. I have been through too much the past couple of years with so many different surgeries, I have been trying to stay away from doctors and hospitals. As long as I am pain free, I am thankful and blessed! our tree is up with colored lights this year. It is so pretty! We have a new family member, Annie the bird. we have been so heartbroken over losing Andy this year, we needed to fill the void. I found a beautiful hand stitched grandmother's flower garden quilt at an antique shop while out with my husband one day. He bought it for me! I wish you all a wonderful and blessed Christmas season! Anne of Green Gables

I've started Anne of Green Gables for my daughter. I had to track down the Japanese book online to order it. The book is titled "Embroidery Stitching Guide - Perfect Stitches & Needlework Tips", it is a Japanese Craft Book. I'm using DMC # 910 on a cone (dark emerald green). Stitching on 32 count white Belfast linen, two over two. My daughter and I just love the Anne of Green Gables series! I am so excited I can stitch this for her. I have bought all the fabric to make her an Anne of Green Gables quilt. I hope to start that soon too. 💚 Louise 💕

Celebrating 60 Years!

I am celebrating 60 years of me! How blessed am I that God gave me all these years. This is One Stitch at a Time by La D Da. Stitched 2/2 on 36 count vintage country mocha linen with called for overdyed, and a few color changes. Info for inquiring minds... The flowers along the bottom are The Gentle Art Shaker Antique Rose and Weeks Red Rocks. I've added two bunnies from a Prairie Schooler chart "Woodland Sampling". Bunnies are stitched with DMC 829 and 738. The Large script alphabet is from "Needle Book" by La D Da, the small script alphabet is from "A Two Rabbit Sampler by La D Da. Letters and name stitched with DMC #3799. I changed the color on the house to overdyed Blue Heron. I added shutters to the windows in DMC #3799. 🩷🩷 (I removed my last name to post this photo). I laced and framed this piece myself with a Hobby Lobby frame.
It was a wonderful celebration with all those i love!

Consider the Lilies Finished!

Consider the Lilies by Heartstring Samplery. Stitched 2 over 2 with DMC on 32 count antique ivory belfast linen. Finished!!!! 😍 I plan on ordering a custom frame and will frame it myself. I feel happy, but a bit sad. This was the last piece my Mother saw through pictures as I was working on it. She never saw it completed before she passed away. I am glad I continued on and finished it. I know how lovely it will look hanging in our home. Thank you everyone for following along on my stitching journey! ♥️ Louise
