helloooooo

Just a quick note to say hello! As most of you know I have been not feeling well lately. I decided to finally make the trip to the doctor. I was sent for a couple of tests. I had stomach pain on and off. Couldn't figure out what was going on with me, I just knew I didn't feel quite right.
On a visit a couple of weeks ago to see our Sailor Son, I was in so much pain after we had lunch, then the same after dinner. I could barely move to stand and walk. I had to just sit there and rest till I could finally get up. I thought I was going to go crazy with the pain in the middle of my chest! I know my Father had heart disease, so I was fearing the worst.
Turns up that my gallbladder is working at only 50 percent of what it should be.
Spoke with the nurse on the phone about the results.
Sounds like the only option will be surgery which I soooo do not want to do.
I have an appointment on Thursday. Will update soon!
Pray for me! I am scared :(

  2. Louise, praying for you and your gall bladder. Honestly, I can't speak from experience, but those I know who've had the operation felt so much better afterwards.

Listen to your doctor, and hugs to you!

  3. Sorry to hear that you are having gall bladder issues. I've been through it. All surgery is scarey. I couldn't believe how quickly I was in and out of the hospital. It was done as out-patient. Checked in at noon, surgery at 2:00 and home by 6:15. They removed it through my belly button. In the end you will feel so much better. I wish you all the best.

  4. Thank you for your comment Cynthia, I appreciate it..what I am curious to know is how long until the pain subsides afterwards..I think that is what I am most afraid of!

  5. When I had mine out years ago, I was only off work 2 weeks and if I remember correctly, off pain pills within about a week. Mine was outpatient also. You will feel so much better after the surgery! Hugs and prayers!

  6. I didn't know I had gallbladder attacks for two years. Can you imagine that? It felt like I had a heart attack in my chest and back, but "heartburn" always went away after two hours of sitting up. When I had it removed, I felt wonderful and my body didn't know it was gone already.I will pray for you when you go see the doctor tomorrow.

  8. Hi Louise,
I am sorry you have not been feeling well. I had my gallbladder removed a few years ago and I have to tell you, it was the easiest surgery I've ever had. Went in at 7am, was home walking around outside at Noon. I never had any real PAIN from the surgery. My abdominal area just felt sore like I had done 1000 situps! I know its easy for me to say, but try not to worry! You will be so glad once you have it out. (I had never had any residual side effects from removing it either)

Take care...we will be praying for you!
